Adding your household to your application

How to add your household

Written by Michiel

Adding your household to your application

During your application for Dal Vrij Limburg, we ask about your household. We need this information to assess your application correctly.

You must add someone to your household if:

  • you are married;

  • you have a registered partner;

  • you live together and share a household;

  • you have children living at home who are aged 4 to 17.

Please note: you can only add people who are registered at the same address as you with the municipality.

Adding children

You may add children if they live with you and are aged 4 to 17.

For each child, enter their name and date of birth. These details will be checked later in the process using government data.

Children aged 18 or older must submit their own application for Dal Vrij Limburg. They will be assessed separately.

Adding your partner

Are you married or do you have a registered partner? Then you must always add your partner.

Do you live with someone, but are you not married and do you not have a registered partner? Then you only need to add that person if you share a household together.

You share a household if:

  • you live at the same address; and

  • you take care of each other by sharing household costs or by helping each other in another way.

This means more than just living in the same home. You do not need to add a regular housemate if you only share the home and each have your own household.

Examples where you usually do need to add someone:

  • you pay for groceries or other household costs together;

  • you have a joint bank account for household costs;

  • you have a child together;

  • you have a cohabitation agreement that says you both contribute to the household.

Enter your partner’s name and email address. Your partner will then receive an invitation by email. Through this invitation, your partner can start the process and share the required details.

Do not start two separate applications

Are you married, do you have a registered partner, or do you share a household together? Then do not start two separate applications.

Always use the invitation for your partner. If your partner is missing from your application, the income check cannot be carried out correctly. This means your application cannot be approved.
